FAQ
Do you work with specific sports?
Our small group training is designed for field and court sport athletes who need to become faster, stronger, and more powerful for on-field or on-court performance. These groups are a great fit for sports such as soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, football, lacrosse, and similar sports.
Other sports such as swimming, golf, hockey, tumbling, and dance are often best served through private 1-on-1 training or private training with a small group/team of athletes from the same sport.
What’s included in the 2-Session Intro Offer?
The intro includes two training sessions. Session 1 begins with a comprehensive evaluation to establish baseline measures for speed, power, mobility, and strength. Session 2 is your first full training session, either private or small group, based on the training option you’re interested in.
How does scheduling work?
Training sessions are 60 minutes (younger athletes may opt for a 30min option)
For small group training, the schedule is set in advance (see here), and families have the flexibility to choose sessions week to week, as long as athletes sign in at least 4 hours in advance. Missed sessions can be made up by attending an additional session in a future week. With private training, athletes train on a scheduled set day and time each week. Rescheduling and make-ups are available and coordinated directly with your trainer.
How are results tracked?
As part of our proven process, every athlete completes an initial evaluation to establish baseline measures for speed, power, strength, and mobility. We then retest every 12 weeks to ensure continued progress and alignment with the athlete’s goals and sport-specific needs.
After each retest, progress is shared with parents directly by the athlete’s trainer in private training, or via email from the Head of Small Group Training for small group athletes.
Should my athlete do Small group or private training?
Our small group training is a great fit for field and court sport athletes looking to improve speed, power, and strength for their sport. Groups are capped at 5 athletes per coach, allowing for highly individualized coaching within a motivating group environment.
Private training may be a better option for athletes whose sports fall outside of field or court play, those returning from injury, college-bound or elite athletes needing highly specific programming, or for families who feel private training is the best fit for their athlete.
At Chadwicks, coaching is individualized in every setting—that level of attention is core to who we are.
