Established in 2002, Chadwick’s has become known as one the best Sport Performance Training facilities in Middle Tennessee.
At Chadwick’s, we are home to several professional athletes for their off-season training as well as elite local collegiate and high school athletes for all seasons of the year. Develop Your Skills During a Strength & Conditioning Internship
An internship for strength and conditioning with Chadwick’s will be an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the areas of Sports Performance. This internship provides individuals with hands-on experience to gain knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, sport psychology, and other related topics. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in practical activities such as leading one-on-one training sessions, assisting performance coaches with small groups of athletes, and learning to develop results focused strength training programs with pre and post assessments.
During their semester here, strength and conditioning interns will learn how to successfully coach and train sports performance and fitness clients. They will learn how to write results driven programs with purposeful exercises and progressions, how to perform pre and post assessments, how to cue and coach proper exercise technique, and how to cue and coach movement patterns around acceleration, top speed, lateral shuffle, crossover and more.
Additionally, they will develop skills in communication, organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership. All of the skills that they learn will be directly applicable to a future career in this field.
